Tonight my husband went to judo practice. The girls and I stayed home and made this cross between a pie and a cobbler. I had a bag of frozen sweet cherries and a bag of blackberries which I combined with sugar. While the Bugs and the Beans were “stiring” it (read that sampling of the frozen fruit…) I mixed together a box of pie crust (yes, I used a box mix for my pie crusts. I have never been able to get a good, tasty result from home made. Even with my mother, the queen of pie crusts, supervising every move I made with it. If you can help me with home made, please do so!). I put half the crust in the bottom of my favorite 8×8 pan, the berries and and then sprinkled the rest of the pie crust on top like a crumbled topping. Before popping it into the oven, I sprinkled more sugar on top. It sure looks yummy!
