So, when you pray for patience, God gives you ample opportunities to practice it…

Two weeks ago, HubbaHubba and I came down with the sinus plague that’s going around. After a full week of feeling absolutely horrid, we start to feel better.

We go visit Grandma last weekend for Beans’ birthday (my baby turned 4!) And we both start getting more sinus crud. Then the Bugs started puking from sinus crud on Sunday morning. We had to come home that day since Hubba had to work and it was the longest trip…Had to pull over twice for puking. We stop so I could get a drink at a gas station halfway home (I was the healthiest so I had to drive the whole trip) and this guy walks into the gas station carrying a giant cockatiel and proceeds into the men’s room. That was weird. Hubba was in the car and didn’t see it happen so we sat and waited for him to come out. Hubba was stunned.

Today, I still have the Bugs puking from sinus crud, though it isn’t as bad. Beans is coughing and driping and so am I. I even puked once.

So, our Sabbath week off school is extending on into this week a bit. Today is an “inservice” day since I have to do some planning anyway.

So, that’s why my blog has been quiet the last few weeks. We’ve come down with the plague. Add to that the annual marriage enrichment seminar at church Hubby is running tech for and I’m filling in where ever (running errands and baking dozens upon dozens of cookies) and life is busy. And since it is either type posts on my phone or wait until Hubba is home to upload (we are stuck tethering indefinately at the moment, and I don’t like working while he’s home. I like spending time with him…) things may be sproradic for a while.

Thanks for bearing with me.

So, the last two days have been rather difficult with the Bugs’ behavior. So for lunch today, I made smile soup.

All I did was make some tomato soup (water recipe since we’re out of milk until tonight). Poured it into bowls, then shredded some amercian cheese and gently placed it around the top edge to make hair. Then I grabbed the heavy whipping cream, put some in a spoon and super gently dropped in the eyes, nose and mouth. The girls loved it and didn’t want to stir it together to eat :)

What do you do to make lunch special for your kids or to let them know they are loved?
